The Kathmandu valley (central) offers the most praised modes of adventure holiday trips. Culture tours of this valley and temples are certainly the most compact; concise adventure program found anywhere in the world. Kathmandu, the capital city of the Nepal well known to the world as the city of living Goddess (Kumari) who is worshipped and taken in a Chariot procession annually.
Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.
Day 02: Visit Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath, Bouddhanath . O/N at hotel.
Day 03: Visit Bhaktapur, Changu Narayan & drive to Nagarkot. O/N at hotel.
Day 04: Drive to Kathmandu. O/N at hotel.
Day 05: Transfer to airport for onward destination.
Day 01: Kathmandu
Arrive in Kathmandu. Meet at the airport and transfer to hotel. The tour manager will give pre-tour briefing. Remainder of the day at leisure. O/N at hotel.
Day 02: Kathmandu
AM: We take early breakfast to catch the spectacular mountain flight over the Himalayas including the Mt. Everest. Upon completion of this spellbounding hour-long flight, we continue the city sightseeing. Pashupatinath Temple- the most sacred of the Hindu temples in Nepal dedicated to Lord Shiva, built in 1696. We carry on the sightseeing tour of the Patan- A city of architecture and fine arts. Some times known as "town with a Thousand golden roofs'. Visit Tibetan handicraft Center at Jawalakhel to watch carpet weaving.
PM: Sightseeing tour of Swayambhunath- the oldest Buddhist shrine. Looking east from here, one can see the entire Kathmandu valley spread out below. A short drive will take you to Bouddhanath- the worlds largest stupa; a sight of great generation to the Buddhist. We continue to Kathmandu Durbar Square- the temple of the Living Goddess and the Royal palace. Finally, visit Kastamandap- a temple built from a single tree from which the Kathmandu derives its name. Evening dinner followed by Nepali cultural program. O/N at hotel.
Day 03: Kathmandu – Nagarkot
AM: Sightseeing tour of Bhaktapur city- Kathmandu valley's most medieval city also known as Bhadgaon and was one of the three kingdoms of Mallas. It is famous for Lion Gate, the Picture Gallery, the Golden Gate and Palace of 55 Windows.
PM: After lunch, we proceed to Changu Narayan – situated at the end of a long ridge which runs well into the valley, it is said to have been in 323 AD and said to be the oldest temple in the valley. Then we take half drive to Nagarkot- east of Kathmandu, situated at an altitude of 2,175m above sea level. The panorama of the major peaks of the eastern Nepal Himalayas, including Mt. Everest can be seen from here. Best at sunset and sunrise. O/N at hotel in Nagarkot.
Day 04: Nagarkot – Kathmandu
Early wake up call is given by the hotel staffs to enjoy the sunrise. Weather permitting, have a panoramic views of Himalayas. After breakfast, take your pack lunch and go for short hike. Drive back to Kathmandu in the evening. Evening dinner followed by Nepali cultural Program o/N at hotel.
Transfer to airport for onward destination.
