 JUNGLE SAFARI IN CHITWAN NATIONAL PARK (2 Nights /3 Days)

Overview:

A Chitwan Safari offers a chance to observe a huge range of tropical wildlife including, wild elephants, one horned rhinos, tigers, and the Gangetic dolphin in their natural habitat. At the same time, the national park contains more than 300 varieties of birds, both residential and migratory. This park is situated amidst the tall Sal forest and tropical undergrowth penetrated by the Rapti river. On a clear day, you may have a double pleasure of observing the wildlife on the ground as well as viewing the glare of the Manaslu and Himchuli peaks.

In our 2 nights/ 3 days lodge safari program in Chitwan, you also will be entertained by the local people, presenting their cultural dance program. You can extend your trip to visit the local Tharu villages and indulge in more activities there, if time permits.

Itinerary:

1st day :
Receive by jungle guide on the highway and proceed to resort. Arrive in the resort very early morning. Relax. Discover Tharu life and culture through our Tharu village/culture tour.

2nd day:
Full Day jungle activities with elephant ride.

3rd day:
Bird watching tour in the very early morning followed by the opportunity to relax or explore the surrounding villages again. Departure to Kathmandu or to Pokhara by vehicle after lunch

 

 JUNGLE SAFARI IN Bardiya National Park (3 Nights /4 Days)

Overview:

The Bardiya Park is situated in the far west terai of Nepal. From the wildlife and ecology of the park is not significantly different than Chitwan but is much less explored and visited by tourists because of it's distance from Kathmandu or from Pokhara. There are a couple options for reaching the park.  A 10 day world class river rafting trip ends right at the Bardiya park alternatively one can make the long journey by road from Kathmandu or fly from Kathmandu to nearby Nepalgunj.

The Bardiya National Park was initially a Royal hunting reserve. In 1976 Bardiya was designated as Royal Karnali Wildlife Reserve with an area of only 368 sq. km in 1982, It was renamed as Bardiya Wildlife Reserve Which also included the Babai River Valley. It was only in 1988 that is was granted a status of National Park in order to preserve the dwindling species and rare ecosystem found in the area,  particularly the tiger and its prey. This park is the largest and most undisturbed wilderness area in the terai providing excellent habitat for most of the endangered species of wildlife and birds found in the region. The park now covers an area of 968 sq. KM. Untill 1994 only basic facilities existed for independent visitors.  It has extensive and varied array of wildlife within its borders including endangered Asian rhinoceros, Wild elephants, The Royal Bengal Tiger, Swamp deer, Black buck, Gharial Crocodile, and Gangetic Dolphins.

More than thirty different mammals, over 400 species of birds, many snakes, lizards , and fish have been sighted and recorded in the park's forest, grassland and river habitats.

Among these include, Langur monkey, common leopard, Jungle cat, fishing at, large and small Indian civets, mongoose, hyena, wild dog, jackal. sloth bear, otter, porcupine, bandicoots, blue bull (Nilgai), Sambar deer, hog deer, barking dear, wild boar etc. This park is one of the best places in Nepal to view the most magnificent and one of the most elusive of the Asian cats, The Royal Bengal Tiger.

Whole day walking safari to view Gangetic Dolphins and swimming also possible.

3rd Day:
Exploration of Tiger territory by foot before lunch. Elephant back safari or jeep safari in the afternoon.

4th Day:
Bird watching tour will be carried out very early morning followed by the opportunity to relax or explore the surrounding villages again. Departure to Kathmandu or to Pokhara with a public bus after lunch

 

 JUNGLE SAFARI IN Bardiya National Park (4 Nights/ 5 Days)

Itinerary:

Arrival Day:
Receive by jungle guide on the highway and proceed to resort. Arrive in the resort
very early morning. Relax. Discover Tharu life and culture through our Tharu village/culture tour

2nd Day:
Whole day walking safari to view Gangetic Dolphins and swimming also possible.

3rd Day:
Exploration of Tiger territory by foot before lunch. Elephant back safari or jeep safari in the afternoon.

4th Day:
Rafting in the flat Karnali and visit to Baghurphanta watching tower and grassland.

5th Day:
Bird watching tour will be carried out very early morning followed by the opportunity to relax or explore the surrounding villages again. Departure to Kathmandu or to Pokhara with a public bus after lunch
