A trek to view the highest mountain in the world.  This historic route follows the trail taken by mountaineers for the last half century hoping to conquer Mt. Everest, one of the world premier climbing objectives. Trekking first from Lukla to Namche Bazaar the trail then gradually ascends to the spectacular site of Thyangboche Monastery.  Shortly after Thyanboche the trail climbs above the tree line into the ultra alpine landscape of rock, snow, and ice of the upper Khumbu valley crossing the Khumbu glacier to rocky out cropping known as Kalapattar.  The peak of this rocky 5540m "hill" offers a spectacular classic view of Mt. Everest (8,848m), Kantega (6,809m), Lhotse (8,511m) and Amadablam (6,856m). A challenging climb in the thin Himalayan air but your efforts will be truly rewarded.

Itinerary
Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu (1345m.) and transfer to hotel.
Day 02: Fly to Lukla (2850m.) & trek to Phakding (2660m.) O/N at Lodge.
Day 03: Trek to Namche (3446m). O/N at Lodge.
Day 04: Rest day in Namche. O/N at Lodge.
Day 05: Trek to Thyangbuche (3867m). O/N at Lodge.
Day 06: Trek to Pheriche (4252m). O/N at Lodge.
Day 07: Trek to Lobuche (4930m). O/N at Lodge.
Day 08: Trek to Kalapattar (5543m) then O/N at Lodge in Lobuche.
Day 09: Trek to Dingbuche (4343m). O/N at Lodge.
Day 10: Trek to Thyangbuche. O/N at Lodge.
Day 11: Trek to Namche. O/N at Lodge.
Day 12: Trek to Lukla (2880m). O/N at Lodge.
Day 13: Fly to Kathmandu. O/N at hotel.
Day 14: Transfer to airport for departure.
