North of Pokhara, Poon hill above Ghorepani offers a dramatic a dramatic panorama of some of the highest mountains in the world. The abrupt variation in altitude found here is astonishing. It is less than 20 miles between the Pokhara airstrip (850m) and the summit of Machhapuchre (6997m) with no obstructing ranges to spoil the view. The views throughout the whole region are fabulous. This trek offers impressive view of the Annapurna range including Dhaulagiri without gaining much altitude (Poon Hill is a mere 3210 m).   If you have a short time to trek in Nepal and wish to gaze at 8000 m peaks then this may be the trek for you.

Itinerary
Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu & transfer to Hotel.
Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu. O/N at hotel
Day 03: Drive or Flight to Pokhara then trek to Dampus. O/N at camp or lodge.
Day 04: Trek to Landrung. O/N at camp or lodge.
Day 05: Trek to Ghandrung. O/N at camp or lodge.
Day 06: Trek to Tadapani. O/N at camp or lodge.
Day 07: Trek to Ghorepani. O/N at camp or lodge.
Day 08: Trek to Ulleri. O/N at camp or lodge.
Day 09: Trek to Chandrakot. O/N at camp or lodge.
Day 10: Trek to Humle then drive to Pokhara. O/N at Hotel.
Day 11: Drive or Flight to Kathmandu. O/N at Hotel.
Day 12: Transfer to airport for departure.
