Arrive in Kathmandu. Meet at the airport and
transfer to hotel. The tour manager will give
pre-tour briefing. Remainder of the day at
leisure.O/N at hotel.
AM: Pashupatinath Temple- the most sacred of the
Hindu temples in Nepal dedicated
to Lord Shiva, built in 1996. We carry on the
sightseeing tour of the Patan- A city of
architecture and fine arts. Some times known as
"town with a Thousand Golden Roofs". Visit Tibetan
Handicraft Center at Jawalakhel to watch carpet
weaving.
PM: Sightseeing tour of Swayambhunath- the oldest
Buddhist shrine. Looking east from here, one can see
the entire Kathmandu valley spread out below. A
short drive will take you to Bouddhanath- the worlds
largest stupa; a sight of great generation to the
Buddhist. We continue to Kathmandu Durbar Square-
the temple of the Living Goddess and the Royal
palace. Finally, visit Kastamandap- a temple built
from a single tree from which the Kathmandu derives
its name. O/N at hotel.
After early breakfast, transfer to airport and fly
to Pokhara or drive to the trek starting point at
Pokhara; approx 6 hrs of drive. Upon arrival, a
Sherpa team to commence your pleasant trek through
Chhetri & Bahuan villages until a skyline camp is
reached at Pipal Danda will meet you. You will enjoy
the fantastic views of Pokhara valley and the
Himalayan ranges to the north. Camp over night.
Today also it's a pleasant walk with gentle ups &
downs passing through scattered villages & farming
country followed by frequent bird-eye view of
Pokhara. Camp near by a shelter for buffaloes. Camp
over night.
Descend past Brahmin villages crossing the small
river and climbing up a gentle slope entering the
pastures surrounded by forests. Stop for the lunch
at the pleasant river side. The flat and gentle
trail leads us through the terraced farmland and an
excellent bathing Sporting just below the bridge.
Half hours flat trail us to the campsite at kande.
Camp over night.
The trail climbs the mule track through the forests
& the lush pastures having the excellent views of
Dhaulagiri & Annapurna ranges. Crossing a side
stream & few houses proceeding through the fields of
barley, we reach the popular trekking spot Dhampus.
Camp over night.
The trail traverses through the farmland high above
the river down to Sarangkot. The trail is rewarded
with the most attractive scenes of rural village
life in the hills of Nepal. From Sarangkot, few
drive for about 45 minutes down to Pokhara. Over
night at hotel.
Full day sight seeing of Phewa Lake, the second
biggest lake in Nepal. On an island in the middle of
the Lake, there is a Hindu shrine for goddess
Barahi. Seti river- with breathtaking rush & the
bridge over it. Patalr chhangu [Hell's fall] known
as David's fall & Mahendra Cave – a large lime stone
cave full of stalactites & stalagmites make a good
destination for about 2 km.
Early morning breakfast is served & takes 3 hrs of
drive to the raft put in point. White water rafting
in Trishuli river – over crashing waves & swirling
rapids for the excitement of a lifetime. Night on
the river bank. Tented camp.
After End of rafting at late afternoon & drive to
Chitwan (Jungle Safari). Rafting is continued after
breakfast till the lunchtime & after lunch, we end
up with raft & proceed to Royal Chitwan National
Park for wildlife activities. Upon arrival meet by
the naturalist and transfer to the jungle resort.
The manager will brief the guests about the
activities. In the late afternoon, the guests will
be taken for a jungle safari on elephant back so
that they can penetrate deep into the jungle for
viewing and photographing wildlife or a jungle walk
is organized to experience the abundant bird life
and the flora & fauna of the park. If you are lucky,
you may see the elusive Royal Bengal Tiger both on
nature walk as well on elephantSafari. A hearty meal
of continental or Nepalese cuisine will be served in
the evening around the campfire. O/N at Jungle
Lodge.
Early morning guests will be mounted on elephant
back and taken for jungle safari for 2-3 hours
penetrating through dense grassland to view
wildlife. This grass commonly known as elephant
grass is dense and grows to a height of 18-20 ft. It
is the favorite habitat of the rhinoceros and other
mammals. After breakfast, the guests are taken to
our elephant stables where the senior naturalist
will give a talk about the habitats of the elephant.
Here one may witness the rare scenic of the elephant
at bath. Afternoon free to relax. Evening dinner
served around the campfire followed by Tharu stick
dance. O/N at Jungle Lodge.
After breakfast, guest will be transferred to
waiting vechicles for the drive back to Kathmandu.
Rest day at leisure. O/N at hotel.
Free day on your own to go for last minute shopping
or to do something of your interest. Evening dinner
followed by Nepali culture program. O/N at hotel.
