Arrive in Kathmandu. Meet at the airport and
transfer to hotel. The tour manager will give
pre-tour briefing. Remainder of the day at
leisure.O/N at hotel.
AM: Pashupatinath Temple- the most sacred of the
Hindu temples in Nepal dedicated to Lord Shiva,
built in 1996. We carry on the sightseeing tour of
the Patan- A city of architecture and fine arts.
Some times known as "town with a Thousand Golden
Roofs".Visit Tibetan Handicraft Center at Jawalakhel
to watch carpet weaving.
PM: Sightseeing tour of Swayambhunath- the oldest
Buddhist shrine. Looking east from here, one can see
the entire Kathmandu valley spread out below. A
short drive will take you to Bouddhanath- the worlds
largest stupa; a sight of great generation to the
Buddhist. we continue to Kathmandu Durbar Square-
the temple of the Living Goddess and the Royal
palace. Finally, visit Kastamandap- a temple built
from a single tree from which the Kathmandu derives
its name. O/N at hotel.
Half an hour to the trek starting point Sankhu- An
old Newari settlement lying 12km, east of Kathmandu.
We proceed for 4 hours of most easy and pleasant
trek. The trail follows the ridge line eastwards
with pleasant wall through the scattered villages.
Our first camp at Nagarkot- east of Kathmandu
situated at an altitude of 2,175m above sea level.
The panorama of the major peaks of most of the
eastern Nepal Himalayas, including Mt. Everest can
be seen from here. Best at sunset and sunrise. P/N
camp.
The trails follows towards south east crossing
over two ridge lying east west. Bit of ups and
downs but easy and pleasant. Today we walk for about
5 hours reaching another Newari town known as
Dhulikhel lying 30km east of Kathmandu. Another spot
for viewing sunset. O/N at camp.
It's a hike to places within the rim of the
Kathmandu Valley. Pleasant and easy walks to the
surrounding villages offer captivating glimpse of
rular life. O/N at camp.
Same as day 05
A short hike to Suryabinayak. Soft walks till lunch
and drive to Kathmandu. Approx. 45 minutes drive.
O/N at hotel
Day at leisure. O/N at hotel.
Early morning breakfast is served and takes 2 hours
of drive to the raft put in point. White Water
Rafting in Trishuli River over crashing waves and
swirling rapids for the excitement of a lifetime.
Night on the riverbank. Tented camps.
End rafting at late afternoon and drive to Chitwan
(Jungle Safari). Rafting is continued after
breakfast till the lunchtime & after lunch, we end
up with raft & proceed to Royal Chitwan National
Park for wildlife activities.Upon arrival meet by
the naturalist and transfer to the jungle resort.
The manager will brief the guests about the
activities. In the late afternoon, the guests will
be taken for a jungle safari on elephant.
Early morning guests will be mounted on elephant
back and taken for jungle safari for 2-3 hours
penetrating through dense grassland to view
wildlife. This grass commonly known as elephant
grass is dense and grows to a height of 18-20 ft. It
is the favorite habitat of the rhinoceros and other
mammals. After breakfast, the guests are taken to
our elephant stables where the senior naturalist
will give a talk about the habitats of the elephant.
Here one may witness the rare scenic of the elephant
at bath. Afternoon free to relax. Evening dinner
served around the campfire followed by Tharu stick
dance. O/N at Jungle Lodge.
After breakfast, guests will be transferred to
waiting vehicles for drive to Pokhara- one of the
most picturesque valleys in Nepal, 125 mile west of
Kathmandu and under the shadow of the Annapurna
Ranges. A rare combination of snow-clad mountains.
Full day sightseeing of Phewa Lake- the second
biggest lake in Nepal. On an island in the middle of
the lake is a Hindu shrine for Goddess Barahi. Seti
River with breathtaking rush and the bridge over it.
Patale Chhangu (Hell's fall) known as David's fall
and Mahendra Cave- a large limestone cave full of
stalactites and stalagmites make a good destination
for about 2 Km. O/N at hotel.
Day 14: Pokhara Kathmandu
Either take a morning flight to Kathmandu enjoying
the mountain scenery or take enough time to go for
shopping in Kathmandu or take a drive of approx. 5
hours back to Kathmandu. O/N at hotel.
Free day on your own to go for last minute shopping
or to do somethings of your interest. Evening dinner
followed by Nepali cultural program. O/N at hotel.
Transfer to the airport for onward
destination.
