Arrive in Kathmandu. Meet at the airport and
transfer to hotel. The tour manager will give
pre-tour briefing. Remainder of the day at leisure.
O/N at hotel.
AM: We take early breakfast to catch the spectacular
mountain flight over the Himalayas including the Mt.
Everest. Upon completion of this spellbounding
hour-long flight, we continue the city sightseeing.
Pashupatinath Temple- the most sacred of the Hindu
temples in Nepal dedicated to Lord Shiva, built in
1696. We carry on the sightseeing tour of the Patan-
A city of architecture and fine arts. Some times
known as "Town with a Thousand Golden roofs'. Visit
Tibetan handicraft Center at Jawalakhel to watch
carpet weaving.
PM: Sightseeing tour of Swayambhunath- the oldest
Buddhist shrine. Looking east from here, one can see
the entire Kathmandu valley spread out below. A
short drive will take you to Bouddhanath- the worlds
largest stupa; a sight of great generation to the
Buddhist. We continue to Kathmandu Durbar Square-
the temple of the Living Goddess and the Royal
palace. Finally, visit Kastamandap- a temple built
from a single tree from which the Kathmandu derives
its name. Evening dinner followed by Nepali cultural
program. O/N at hotel.
AM: Sightseeing tour of Bhaktapur city- Kathmandu
valley's most medieval city also known as Bhadgaon
and was one of the three kingdoms of Mallas. It is
famous for Lion Gate, the Picture Gallery, the
Golden Gate and Palace of 55 Windows.
PM: After lunch, we proceed to Changu Narayan –
situated at the end of a long ridge which runs well
into the valley, it is said to have been in 323 AD
and said to be the oldest temple in the valley. Then
we take half drive to Nagarkot- east of Kathmandu,
situated at an altitude of 2,175m above sea level.
The panorama of the major peaks of the eastern Nepal
Himalayas, including Mt. Everest can be seen from
here. Best at sunset and sunrise. O/N at hotel in
Nagarkot.
Early wake up call is given by the hotel staffs to
enjoy the sunrise. Weather permitting, have a
panoramic views of Himalayas. After breakfast, take
your pack lunch and go for short hike. Drive back to
Kathmandu in the evening. Evening dinner followed by
Nepali cultural Program o/N at hotel.
Transfer to airport for onward destination.
