Arrive in Kathmandu. Meet at the airport and
transfer to hotel. The tour manager will give
pre-tour briefing. Remainder of the day at
leisure.O/N at hotel.
AM: Pashupatinath Temple- the most sacred of the
Hindu temples in Nepal dedicated
to Lord Shiva, built in 1996. We carry on the
sightseeing tour of the Patan- A city of
architecture and fine arts. Some times known as
"town with a Thousand Golden Roofs." Visit Tibetan Handicraft Center at
Jawalakhel to watch carpet weaving.
PM: Sightseeing tour of Swayambhunath- the oldest
Buddhist shrine. Looking east from here, one can see
the entire Kathmandu valley spread out below. A
short drive will take you to Bouddhanath- the worlds
largest stupa; a sight of great generation to the
Buddhist. We continue to Kathmandu Durbar Square-
the temple of the Living Goddess and the Royal
palace. Finally, visit Kastamandap- a temple built
from a single tree from which the Kathmandu derives
its name. O/N at hotel.
Early morning breakfast served and takes 2 hours of
drives to the raft put in point. White Water Rafting
in Trishuli River- over crashing waves and swirling
rapids for the excitement of a lifetime. After
lunch, drive to (2 and half hours drive) Gorkha- the
ancestral home of the Shah dynasty which rules Nepal
today. It is from here that King Prithivi Narayan
Shah started his conquest of the country's various
tiny kingdoms and unified them into a single nation,
Nepal. Gorkha Bazaar, the palace dominates the
surroundings and is visible from all around the
area. O/N at hotel.
Leaving behind the tranquil Gorkha, it is about
three hours of drive to Pokhara- one of the most
picturesque valley in Nepal, 125 miles west of
Kathmandu and under the shadow of the Annapurna
Ranges. A rare combination of snow- clad mountain,
crystal clear lakes, streams, villages inhabited by
friendly ethnic tribes.O/N at hotel.
Full day sightseeing of Phewa Lake- the second
biggest lake in Nepal. On an island in the middle of
the lake is a Hindu shrine for Goddess Barahi. Seti
River with breathtaking rush and the bridge over it.
Patale Chhangu (Hell's fall) known as David's fall
and Mahendra Cave- a large limestone cave full of
stalactites and stalagmites make a good destination
for about 2 Km. O/N at hotel.
Both take a morning flight to Kathmandu enjoying the
mountain scenery and take enough time to go for
shopping in Kathmandu or take a drive to Nepali
cultural program. O/N at hotel.
Transfer to airport for onward destination. O/N at
hotel.
