 ShisHapangMa (8,035m) Expedition

   Region: Tibet

Introduction:

Shishapangma "Exquisite apparition" is located in the central Himalaya and lies totally within Tibet. To the east lie Mount Molamenchen to the west Mount Xifeng and Mount Nandengri with Mount Kangbochen rising up to the northwest.  Shishapangma,"the range above grassy plain," was first climbed by the Chinese in 1964.  There are three climbing routes on the south face with several other logical possibilities on the west Ridge and east face. The normal west route takes us up easy angled snow slopes up to 35 degrees with one steeper section. This section will be fixed and placed on the steeper on crevassed sections.

Itinerary:
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu transfer to hotel
Day 02: Rest day at Kathmandu preparing for Expedition
Day 03: Preparing expedition (Kathmandu)
Day 04: Drive to Kodari Border & Zhangmu
Day 05: Drive Nylam 3750m. Over night at hotel
Day 06: Nylam rest for acclimatization
Day 07: Drive to Tibet side Base camp 5000m.
Day 08: Acclimatization
Day 09: Prepare load for Advance Base Camp
Day 10: Trek to Middle Camp
Day 11: Trek to Advance Base Camp 5400m.
Day 12-36: Climbing Period Shishapangama 8035m
Day 37: Trek to Base Camp
Day 38: Drive Nyalam
Day 39: Drive to Zhangmu & Kathmandu
Day 40: Kathmandu
Day 41: Final Departures.
