 TAJ MAHAL & PALACES of INDIA (11 Days)

Introduction:

The Republic of India comprises the majority of the Indian subcontinent. India has a coastline which stretches over seven thousand kilometres, and shares its borders with Pakistan to the west, the People's Republic of China, Nepal, and Bhutan to the northeast, and Bangladesh and Myanmar on the east. On the Indian Ocean, it is adjacent to the island nations of the Maldives to southwest, Sri Lanka to south.

India is the fourth largest economy in the world in terms of purchasing power parity. It is the second most populous country in the world, with a population of over one billion, and is the seventh largest country by geographical area. It is home to some of the most ancient civilizations, and a centre of important historic trade routes. Four major world religions: Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism and Sikhism have originated from India.  Countless empires and princely states have vied for control of this land throughout its history.  Each leaving impressive remnants of their glory in the form of palaces, forts, temples, and mosques that are strewn across the country. For today's tourist a journey through India is a journey through dichotomies, rich and poor, past and present, sublime monuments of expired empires side by side with call centers and modern IT business parks.

 

Itinerary:

Day 01 Kathmandu- Delhi
Transfer to Kathmandu airport, fly to Delhi (about a hour and a half flight) where our Indian representative will receive and transfer you to the hotel. The rest day you will have at your leisure.

Day 02 Delhi
In the morning, sightseeing tour to Old Delhi  (Red Fort, Jama Masjid & Chadani Chowk Market). Afternoon drive past pass President House and India Gate en route to Qutb Minar.

Day 03 Udaipur
Early morning: fly to Udaipur, a serene desert city on the shores pf lake Pichola.  Transfer to the hotel. After lunch: sightseeing tour  (City palace, Jagadish Temple, Sahlion Ki Baei (The gardens of the Maids of Honor) & Fathesagar lake). The day ends with sunset cruise on the lake. T

Day 04 Udaipur
Day excursion tour to Rajsamand lake, Nathdwaraan important 18th century Lord Vishnu Temple, and Ekling Ji a little interesting village with number of ancient temples via Nagda. Afternoon cultural programs back in Udaipur.

Day 05 Jaipur
Fly Jaipur, the capital city of state Rajasthan, popularly known as the "Pink City". The pink color was traditionally associated with hospitality in Rajput culture. Transfer to the hotel. Sightseeing tour of Howa Mahal. Howa Mahal or the Palace of Winds. Evening relax at Rambagh Palace famous garden are free at your own.

Day 06 Jaipur
Morning  Visit Amber Font & Palace via elephant ride. And after we visit Maharaja's City Palace and Museum, Jantar Mantar (a famous Royal observatory). Evening free at your own.

Day 07 Agra
Morning drive to Agra. En route we stop at Fathepur Sikri the capital city Moghul Empire built by Emperor Akbar.  Arriving at Agra and visit the Taj Mahal, India's most magnificent monument built by Emperor Shah Jahn in memory of his wife Mumtaj.

Day 08 Agra
Morning again we visit Taj Mahal then Agra Fort and Itimad-ud-Daulah. Afternoon visit Sikandara a Fort.

Day 09 Khajuraho
Fly to Khajuraho.  Visit the temples famous for there stone carved depictions of the Karma Sutra.

Day 10 Varanasi
Fly Varanasi. Varanasi is most sacred city for Hindu devotes. After lunch visit Old City of Varanasi and the Ghats. In the Evening watch Pooja (Prayer or Worship) for the river Ganges.

Day 11 Varanasi – Kathmandu
Early morning a half an hour boat ride at river Ganges and return to the hotel for breakfast. After breakfast free time to explore Varanasi on your own. Afternoon transfer to airport for departure to onward Kathmandu.

 

 Sikkim Tour (7 Days)


A state of India nestled between Bhutan and Nepal and a land of extraordinary beauty. Soaring mountains rise from forest covered hillsides dotted with meadows of colorful flowers.  Colorful monasteries built in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition adorn this beautiful landscape.  An interesting area that shows yet another unique face of the diverse country that is India.

Itinerary:

Day 01 Kathmandu -Biratnagar - Gantok
Fly to Biratnagar & drive to Gantok (approx 7 hours of drive). On arrival meet, assist & check into the hotel. O/N at hotel.

Day 02 Gangtok
AM: Visit Enchey monastery, Government institute of cottage Industry, Dodrul Chorten, Research Institute of Tibetology.
PM: Visit Rumtek monastery, situated 24 kms. Away from Gantok & this magnificent monastery was built by the late Gyalwa Karmapa, The head of the Kagyu sect. O/N at
hotel.

Day 03 Gangtok
Free day for personal activities. O/N at hotel.

Day 04 Gantok – Pemayangtse
AM: After breakfast, drive through semi tropical forests, cardamom plantation & villages.
PM: Visit the Pemayangtse monastery sistuted adlacent to the hotel. This is a premier monastery of Sikkim built in the 17th century. O/N at hotel.

Day 05 Pemayamgtse- Khechapladri lake- Pemayamgtse
AM: After breakfast drive to Khechapladri lake, which is also known as the wishing lake & is considered very sacred & no water sport or other activities besides prayer & worship are allowed around it.
PM: A short walk to Sangachholing monastery located on a hillock above the hotel. On clear day the view of the mountain ranges is excellent stunning. O/N at hotel.

Day 06 Pemayangtse – Silliguri
Drive leisurely along the Tista river to the plains of North Bengal. O/N at hotel.

Day 07 Silliguri – Biratnagar – Kathmandu
After breakfast drive to Biratnagar airport & fly to Kathmandu. O/N at hotel.
